Rasan Sahota

Rasan Sahota is an associate in Gowling WLG's Toronto office.
She completed her JD at Queen’s University.
During law school, Rasan served as a legal intern with the Department of Justice’s Natural Resources Canada Legal Services Unit. She is passionate about the intersection of technology and law, and worked as a legal research analyst in the collaborative Conflicts Analytics Lab, where the team explored how artificial intelligence can be applied to legal information
Rasan has also worked with various Kingston organizations through her volunteer placements with Pro Bono Students Canada.
Prior to attending law school, Rasan completed a bachelor of science with Honours, double majoring in biochemistry and political science at the University of Toronto. During her degree, she operated a 30+ executive team that provided services to 200+ students as president for the healthcare oriented organization, HOSA UTSC.
During the summer before entering law school, Rasan joined a team of student researchers to produce a report on the impacts of COVID-19 on young Ontarians, in which the team provided policy recommendations to the Government of Ontario.
