Bio

Raymond Ong is an associate in Gowling WLG's Vancouver office, and a member of the firm's Capital Markets, M&A and Private Equity groups. A detail-oriented solicitor, Raymond provides his clients with timely, approachable service.

Raymond assists clients at every stage, from startups to public companies, with a wide range of transactional matters, including:

  • Private equity & venture capital financings
  • Public offerings
  • Exempt distributions
  • Capital pool companies
  • Qualifying transactions
  • Advising companies listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, the TSX Venture Exchange and the Canadian Securities Exchange (formerly the CNSX)


He also assists clients with the continuous disclosure and listing requirements of securities regulators and stock exchanges.

Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Raymond gained more than 15 years of securities law experience working at several boutique Vancouver securities law firms. He earned his bachelor of laws from the University of the Philippines, and is a member of the bar in the Philippines.
