• Advising on a c£65 million claim under a W&I policy and an associated claim against the seller for breach of warranty after it was discovered that the US sellers of the German target were aware of a decline in customer orders prior to its acquisition by a PE backed buyer.
• Advising the JV operator of an offshore wind farm in connection with two significant claims under its construction all risks and operating all risks policies securing payments of £70 million+ for her client
• Advising the former CEO of a multinational company on his D&O insurance claim for an indemnity in connection with multiple claims against him following a collapse in share price due to alleged accounting irregularities.
• Advising on a c£45 million W&I claim in connection with multiple third-party claims and accounts issues affecting the UK and US subsidiaries of a German target.
• Acting on behalf of a Lebanese based company and its Kenyan subsidiary in ARIAS arbitral and Kenyan legal proceedings (governed by English law) in connection with a £14 million claim under a marine cargo and delay in start-up policy following damage to two engines and parts bound for a power plant in Kenya.
• Advising the directors of a property development company on the availability of an indemnity under their D&O policy for costs incurred in connection with their successful defence of high-profile claims worth £132 million brought against them in the High Court.
• Advising on a $12.5 million claim under a W&I policy in connection with the acquisition of a German target by a US company.
• Securing a complete indemnity for her financial adviser client from its professional indemnity insurers following a block notification in connection with a potential mortgage fraud and claims amounting to c£4m.
• Advising the JV insured on one of the largest construction insurance claims in the industry worth more than £200 million and involving multiple insurers and reinsurers.
• Acting on behalf of an international nuclear mutual in a £170 million plus claim in relation to which they had an interest as reinsurers on layers amounting to £1 billion.
• Advising in connection with LCIA arbitral proceedings to recover costs of £5 million+ incurred in connection with a public inquiry under the client's historic public liability cover.
• Advising our manufacturing client on their policy coverage position in relation to their claim under their global professional indemnity policy arising out of the delivery of a power project in Chile and their claim for an indemnity in respect of an arbitration award handed down in proceedings which took place in Santiago.
• Acting for former trustees in connection with their claim under their pension trustee liability policy in connection with an ongoing regulatory investigation into the fund by the Pensions Regulator.

Commercial Litigation

• Resolving a significant claim for property damage and alternative hire charges on behalf of her client, a freight operating company, following a crash between two locomotives in Edinburgh.
• Acting for M Group Holdings Limited in connection with a potential claim against its former advisers arising out of allegedly negligent advice given to the client following the restructuring of the business
• Acting on behalf of a company who wanted to terminate an exclusive licensing agreement with regards to the marketing of its specialist indoor snowmaking technology in the US, and managing Boston proceedings with the outcome being that our client was able to walk away from the agreement without any downside and with its costs (a rarity in the US).
• Acting on behalf of a F1 driver in connection with a hard fought and high-profile High Court dispute with his former manager.
• Advising train operating company on the apportionment of liability on a Schedule 8 claim for compensation under the terms of its Track Access Agreement with Network Rail, achieving a favourable financial outcome for the client without the need for formal legal proceedings.
• Securing a highly favourable settlement for her aviation client in a £47 million dispute as to the operation of revenue accounting provisions in a franchising agreement with a partner airline and following LCIA arbitration.
• Acting on behalf of one of the largest international brokers in defending a £2 million claim by a leading supermarket for allegedly negligent claims handling following the decision by insurers' not to indemnify in full for its public liability and employers' liability claims over a two-year policy year period.
• Acting for multiple defendants in successfully defending a high-profile and multi-faceted claim (seeking damages of £100 million+) including allegations of fraudulent misrepresentation, conspiracy, unlawful interference with economic interests, intimidation and blackmail.
