
Bio
Simon Robertson is an articling student at Gowling WLG’s Calgary office.
Simon obtained his law degree from the University of Alberta in 2026. He received several awards as a law student, including the Dr Hazel Rutherford McCuaig Prize in Property Law and the William Mustard Second Year Prize in Wills and Estate Planning. He also worked as a Belzberg Writing Fellow in 2025-26, helping first-year law students develop their legal research and writing abilities.
Simon’s passion for learning extends beyond the classroom. He volunteered with Student Legal Services, served as a member of the Alberta Law Review, and gained valuable experience through summer student positions with the Environmental Law Centre and the Alberta Workers’ Compensation Board.
During his articles, Simon looks forward to furthering his understanding of the law and its application to everyday life. He is committed to applying that knowledge to provide clear, practical solutions to legal problems.
In his free time, Simon enjoys golfing, running, playing soccer, and reading.
