Bio
Sylvia Adriano is a partner and head of Gowling WLG’s Real Estate and Financial Services Department in Toronto and a member of the Toronto Management Committee.
Sylvia practises in the area of commercial real estate and has extensive experience in the acquisition, disposition and financing of all classes of retail, commercial, industrial and stratified properties. Sylvia has experience acting for a wide range of clients across a variety of industries, including large commercial and residential developers, national and multi-national corporations, railway companies, foreign investors, retail chains, hotel owners, institutions and asset managers. She also assists her clients with the development and operation of their land, including the drafting and negotiation of a wide variety of property agreements with both the municipality and neighbouring land owners, such as reciprocal easements, restrictive covenants, encroachment agreements, cost sharing agreements, site plan and development agreements.
Sylvia has extensive experience with the development and operation of retail facilities and big box shopping centres. She has also developed a particular expertise dealing with the conveyance and development of air space and complex stratified properties. Clients turn to Sylvia to resolve complex title and unique property issues.
Sylvia is an active member of and Mentor with Toronto CREW (Toronto Commercial Real Estate Women).
