Whether you own, manage or invest in businesses, your consideration and management of environmental issues will play a huge role in your success.

How we can help

We're passionate about sustainability. From advising on greenhouse gas emissions to renewable energy investments and regulatory compliance, you can count on us as a trusted advisor.

Carbon

Net zero decarbonisation plays a crucial role in tackling climate change. The government has set out various policies and proposals to meet its goal of net zero decarbonisation by 2050. This target is legally binding. Which means no matter what kind of business you run - large or small - you'll have responsibilities to uphold. Our team can share strategic and transaction advice to ensure compliance with necessary requirements. We can also assist with voluntary reporting alongside your mandatory legal requirements, ensuring you stay on the right side of regulations while avoiding accusations of greenwashing.

Recognition

"This conservation covenant seeks to lead by example in the market and create high-integrity, biodiverse habitats that will deliver long-term benefits for everyone."

- Ben Stansfield

Our team of climate change lawyers undertook a pro bono piece of work, advising The Lifescape Project on the drafting of a conservation covenant template and the subsequently on the application of its use. This included advice on financial security and termination. The Lifescape Project is a designated 'responsible body', sponsored by DEFRA, with the ability to enter into conservation covenants to secure BNG.
