What the team does

We're a diverse HR team, proud of the fact that we all bring something different through a range of expertise and experience in advisory, reward & benefits, resourcing, learning & development and HR operations.

We are a collaborative group and highly value the power of teamwork needed to deliver the people and talent strategy, a critical part of the wider firm's vision – "Famous for our client experience, outstanding people and creative energy."

We drive the people and talent agenda through our business partnering model, which includes supporting the business in delivering and managing change management projects, promoting a high performance culture, and investing in the development of our people.

Our relationship with the business is critical to our success. We are proud to be recognised as trusted and influential advisors to our legal groups, business services teams and international offices. It's not unusual for us to be found working with IT discussing HTML codes to develop the scope and potential of our Learning Management System or to be advising Partners as they navigate through the challenges of international employment legislation.

In addition to the business as usual, we all have exposure to a vast range of challenging and often innovative projects that develop our skills and knowledge. Our recent high profile projects have included the development of our bespoke Apprentice programmes; supporting the implementation of firm-wide agile working; delivering on strategic change programmes; and our award winning L&D initiatives. That's just a starter for ten; there's always plenty more to get your teeth into.

Many in our team are Belbin accredited or CIPD qualified. Several team members are working towards this qualification and being supported by the firm.

Cross team working is the norm and we learn from each other on a daily basis. We take ownership of our own learning & development and we facilitate this by offering insightful knowhow sessions. This has led to numerous people within the team progressing their career across disciplines and levels.

Communication is a critical part of our success. We have weekly blogs from our HR Director, regular team meetings and quarterly business reviews to make sure we are on track and delivering what the business needs. We also recognise our talent with the monthly "Star in HR" award – a hotly contested prize.

We're a social bunch and don't take ourselves too seriously. You can often find us having drinks after work, or breakfast in the Loft, or trying to escape from a locked room in a "live escape game" on a team away day.
