What our personal assistants do

As a PA at the firm we are valued members of the team. Our work is incredibly varied – no two days are ever the same! Daily tasks range from diary management, organising training sessions and travel plans, working with finance and attending client meetings and events. We also get involved in piloting new initiatives and systems before they are rolled out firm wide.

Our role is demanding and challenging. But we don't do it all by ourselves. We work with various teams across the business including our in-house document production centre, travel team and concierge. This minimises the amount of admin we do and means we can concentrate on adding value: working together as a team to achieve the best client service we can.

What it's like to work as a personal assistant

Every new starter is paired with a buddy/mentor who helps them settle in the role and offers ongoing support. We take responsibility for our role, career and development. We have autonomy and are trusted to make the right decisions.

Training is available at all times and is actively encouraged. We have an online learning system in which you work through modules at your convenience. Whether it is a quick refresher or you feel you need to speak to our learning and development team to see what's on offer, it is all at your fingertips. PAs are seen as the font of all knowledge so it is important to keep up to date with any new developments.

There are also opportunities to be involved in firm wide projects and groups, including corporate responsibility and Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, such as OpenHouse, More Women and Enable.
