How we train & reward you

The work is challenging

But the rewards are huge

Our apprenticeship programmes are designed to be challenging, but we offer you all the support you need to succeed. We'll also reward you for your hard work and we don't expect you to surrender your social life. In fact, we like improving it.

What you'll learn

Legal programme

You'll learn from the best what it takes to be a commercial lawyer – developing your skills and opening doors for your future. What's more, our apprenticeships also incorporate CILEx training in law and legal practice, giving you the opportunity to gain nationally-recognised qualifications.

Where you go from there

This makes for an enticing start to a legal career. Once you've completed the apprenticeship, you have the option to further enhance your career, because now you can continue to work as a paralegal and, if you choose:

  • Take an additional four-year apprenticeship to become a chartered legal executive; or
  • Start an additional six-year apprenticeship and become a qualified solicitor

Business services programme

Our business services apprenticeships enable you to become a business professional.

Once you've completed the initial apprenticeship programme, you'll have taken the first steps in developing your career in your chosen area and we hope that it won't end there. In the final months of your apprenticeship we will talk to you about your career, which could mean offering you a permanent role in the relevant team or a further apprenticeship to continue your studies.

Your pay and benefits

Your salary is £16,500 (Birmingham) or £20,000 (London) per year. And you get 25 days' holiday per year, with the option to buy more.

A competitive salary is just one of the many benefits we offer. To mention only a few: private medical care; life and income protection insurance; pension scheme; £500 interest-free loan; childcare vouchers; and an employee assistance programme.

You may also like to know that we operate a cycle-to-work scheme. We help you with the daily commute through a season ticket loan. We have an active social club (with sought-after tickets for events) and a dedicated budget for staff entertainment (think drinks and annual party). What's not to like?
