RFP issued for new Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital

On June 29, 2015, Infrastructure Ontario and Mackenzie Health issued a request for proposals to three teams shortlisted to design, build, finance and maintain a new state-of-the-art hospital that will be constructed in Vaughan: Plenary Health, Mackenzie Vaughan Health Partnership and Hospital Infrastructure Partners.

Infrastructure Ontario and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care are working with Mackenzie Health to build the new facility, which will be publicly owned, publicly controlled and publicly accountable.

Infrastructure Ontario is a crown agency of the Province of Ontario that delivers large, complex infrastructure renewal projects on time and on budget. Over the last six years, the province has applied Infrastructure Ontario's alternative financing and procurement model to 83 major projects valued at approximately $38 billion.

Mackenzie Health is a regional healthcare provider that includes Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital and the future Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital as well as a network of community based services in Southwest York Region and beyond.
