Gowling WLG's real estate finance team, led by client relationship partner Judith Gershon and including Matthew East and Nisha Shukla, advised client Complex Development Projects (CDP) on the purchase of the iconic Coventry Telegraph building from Trinity Mirror Group.

CDP has plans to save the building and turn it into a unique boutique hotel retaining many original features, and is just one of the company's many plans to help in the regeneration of Coventry city centre.

The building has been closed since 2012 when Trinity Mirror relocated its headquarters, and this January 2017 deal will play a major part in helping to restore the city centre.
