AIESEC picks Montréal for its international secretariat

On July 13, 2017, AIESEC announced that it had decided to locate its new international secretariat in Montréal. AIESEC chose the city over other finalists after launching a call for tenders in April 2017 and will relocate its current offices from Rotterdam, Netherlands, to Montréal in September 2018.

AIESEC is the world's largest youth-led organization creating opportunities for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential. AIESEC is a non-political, independent, not-for-profit organization run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education. Around the world AIESEC partners with more than 2,600 universities and 8,000 organizations.

Michael Garellek at Gowling WLG in Montréal is advising AIESEC both with regard to the move, doing business in Canada and its incorporation as a not-for-profit corporation in Canada.
