Dawn Foods completes cross-border acquisition of Ardent Mills facility and sweet goods business in Canada

On June 21, 2019, Dawn Food Products ("Dawn Foods") acquired from Ardent Mills an ingredient mix facility in Burlington, Ontario and Ardent Mills' sweet goods business in Canada. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Dawn Foods is a global bakery ingredient manufacturer and distributor headquartered in Jackson, Michigan. Ardent Mills is a leading flour-milling and ingredient company with facilities across Canada and the US. This strategic business decision expands Dawn Foods' reach to its Canadian customers and will support the innovative thinking, products and bakery expertise that Dawn Foods is known for throughout the region. The acquisition allows both companies to continue to focus on their core capabilities - Dawn Foods on its bakery ingredient offerings and Ardent Mills on its flour business
