On Sept. 30, 2019, Mayor Jeff Jordan of the Town of Grimsby announced that the Town had sold its BioDigester facility to Escarpment Renewables, a subsidiary of White Owl Ltd., a privately owned company based in Markham.

The Town of Grimsby was advised in this sale by Gary Graham of Graham Stephenson LLP and a team from Gowling WLG comprised of Pam Vermeersch and Travis Evens (corporate/M&A) and John Webster (litigation).
