Gowling WLG advises Lincoln Rackhouse on joint investment in UK data centre

Gowling WLG has advised Lincoln Rackhouse, the data centre division of Lincoln Property Co., on a joint investment they are managing to acquire a data centre in London.

The company has collaborated with Sprott Korea Investment on the acquisition of the 145,000-sqf data centre in London's data centre submarket of Camberley.

Lincoln Rackhouse is based out of Dallas, Texas and the investment is the company's first venture outside of the US.

Real Estate partner Matt Walker and director Chris Morris led the real estate team, their first transaction for Lincoln Rackhouse. The team also comprised director David Pettingale, associate Aquib Yusaf and partner Ben Stansfield with employment law issues addressed by principal associate Emma Bufton. Partner Lee Nuttall led on the tax treatment of the real estate transaction.

Investment funds partner Sharon Ayres led the corporate structuring team comprising senior associate Laura Oseland, associate Orjeta Neli, paralegal Jess Adjei, supported by tax partner Lee Nuttall, principal associate Tom Rank, legal apprentice Abbie Brown and trainee Michael Tushingham.
