Athena Software acquired by Social Solutions Global in cross-border transaction

On March 18, 2021, Social Solutions Global, the leading provider of cloud software for nonprofit and public sector social service organizations, announced that it had completed its previously announced acquisition of Athena Software, a leading case management software solution.

Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Social Solutions Global is backed by Vista Equity Partners, a leading global technology investor.

Athena Software, a privately-owned company, provides Penelope, an SaaS solution for human health and social services providers around the world. Headquartered in Waterloo, Ontario, the company also has staff based in the US, Australia and the UK.
