Launched in 2017, Marmelade is the first French quiz-app that provides knowledge and training to temporary workers in the fields of construction, public works, and fibre optic networks. The start-up is also certified with QUALIOPI and Datadocké labels.

To support its growth and to provide a largest choice of trainings, Marmelade has completed a 2.6 million euros seeds series round with leading European EdTech VC Brighteye Ventures, Aster Capital Partners, Secret Fund and Kima Venture.

Gowling WLG France advised investors Brighteye Ventures and Aster Capital Partners with M&A and private equity partner Barbara Jouffa, and senior associate Mathias Briatta.

Marmelade was advised by SR Avocat law firm, with partner Serge Rozenzweig, and legal corporate adviser Marine Narcisi.

This operation demonstrates Gowling WLG France's expertise in the digital education sector. Last October, partner Barbara Jouffa has advised Educapital and Ring Capital on French online training platform O'Clock's seed funding round.
