International law firm, Gowling WLG has acted for the shareholders of Alice Castle Limited ("Alice Castle") on the sale of the whole of the issued share capital of Alice Castle to the Ardonagh Group, the UK's largest independent insurance broker.
Alice Castle, founded by Managing Director, Scott Farrell in 2014, is principally a professional indemnity and cyber security insurance broking business.
The Gowling WLG team was led by Corporate Partner, Jeff Elway, assisted by Corporate Associate, Abby Parkin, Principal Associate (Tax), Liz Emerson and Senior Associate (Commercial) Alexandra Gill.
Scott Farrell, founder of Alice Castle said: "The private company sale process was completely new to me and Gowling WLG expertly guided me and my fellow shareholders through the process, assisting me with the interface with Ardonagh and its advisers and ensuring that we had a full understanding of the sale documentation. Whilst the transaction has its difficult 'moments', the involvement of Gowling WLG was undoubtedly a major contributory factor to the sale being successfully concluded."
