In June 2022, MacEwen announced the acquisition of Fergusson Energy Inc., a preferred supplier and one-stop-shop of fuel, propane, heating oil and lubricants to the communities and surrounding areas of Belleville, Bancroft, Campbellford, Greater Napanee, Picton, Trenton and Tweed. 

Gowling WLG advised MacEwen in this acquisition with a team that included Lorne Segal, Karen Hennessey and Shannon Gallant (corporate/M&A).
