Our Real Estate Energy Sector team has advised Conrad Energy on securing the real estate aspects of its landmark solar farm at Larport in Herefordshire. The project has now started energy production and is expected to produce 40,000MWh of renewable electricity each year.

The solar farm is projected to save around 375,000 tonnes of carbon energy over the course of its 40-year lifecycle, with the power sleeved to BNP Paribas via an initial 15-year Power Purchase Agreement to decarbonise its UK operations.

Real Estate legal director Arminder Dhillon led the team advising Conrad Energy.

Arminder Dhillon commented: "We were delighted to be working with Conrad Energy once again on this exciting project. Larport Solar Farm will significantly contribute to BNP Paribas' decarbonisation efforts as the UK continues its net zero journey. The farm's design has been developed in consultation with the local community and everyone involved is pleased to see the start of production which will boost renewable electricity use and the adoption of solar energy."
