ICOR Technology acquired by Cadre Holdings in cross-border deal

On January 10, 2024, Cadre Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CDRE) ("Cadre"), a global leader in the manufacturing and distribution of safety and survivability equipment for first responders headquartered in New York City, announced that it had completed its previously announced acquisition of ICOR Technology Inc. ("ICOR").

ICOR, headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario, is a leading manufacturer and distributor of explosive ordnance disposal ("EOD") robots and specialized protective security equipment for EOD and military organizations worldwide. 

Gowling WLG advised the sellers in this transaction with a team led by Daniel Scott, and that included Jessica Ward and Sunny Yun (corporate), Elad Gafni (Investment Canada Act), Wendy Wagner (export control), John Peters (employment), Colin Green and Carole Chouinard (tax) and Stuart Ash and Steve Cross (intellectual property and licensing).
