Corporate team advises Syngroh Capital on the acquisition of a majority stake in the precision machine manufacturer Benzinger

A team of the international law Gowling WLG led by the Frankfurt M&A/private equity partner Dr. Michael Lamsa has advised Syngroh Capital GmbH ("Syngroh Capital"), the investment company of the family business Klaus Grohe, on the acquisition of a majority stake in Carl Benzinger GmbH ("Benzinger") from the Jehle family. Benzinger, based in the Pforzheim region (Baden-Württemberg), is a manufacturer of turning and milling machines for precision parts. The company offers a product range of diverse CNC lathes and CNC milling machine for a wide range of industries such as the watch and jewellery industry. The Jehle family will retain a significant minority stake in Benzinger and will continue to manage the company's operations.

The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price or further details of the agreement.

As a family investment company, Syngroh Capital consolidates the direct investments of the Klaus Grohe family. As entrepreneurs, the family has itself successfully mastered a wide variety of challenges and aims to apply this wealth of experience to further investments in a value-oriented manner. Syngroh Capital invests in SMEs based in German-speaking countries that have compelling product and service industry ideas – irrespective of the sector within which they are active. The focus lies on succession solutions, supporting change and internationalisation processes, as well as demergers of corporate segments that no longer form part of a company’s core business. The acquisition of Benzinger represents the fourth investment.
