Who’s Who Legal ranks two Gowling WLG lawyers among the world’s leading trade and customs practitioners

Two Gowling WLG lawyers have been recognized among the world’s leading trade and customs lawyers in the 2015 edition of Who’s Who Legal: Trade & Customs: Richard G. Dearden and Wendy J. Wagner.

Richard G. Dearden is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a senior litigation partner in the firm’s Ottawa office. His expertise in international trade has been recognized across numerous legal publications, including The Best Lawyers in Canada, Lexpert and the Legal 500 Canada. Dearden has also served as vice-chair of the International Bar Association's Trade Law Sub-Committee and as a member of the American Bar Association Council for the Section on International Law and Practice.

Leader of the firm’s Privacy & Data Protection Group, Wendy J. Wagner’s practice focuses on international trade law, privacy, access to information and defamation law. In her international trade law practice, she represents clients in matters involving trade and investment agreements, export controls and sanctions/embargos, and all aspects of customs compliance, including tariff classification, origin, valuation, and Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPS) penalties.
