France Tenaille named among top 100 lawyers specializing in Latin America

26 February 2018

France Tenaille, a Toronto-based Gowling WLG partner and leader of the firm's Latin America Initiative, has once again been named by Latinvex as one of the top 100 lawyers specializing in Latin America among international law firms for 2018. More specifically, Tenaille was identified as a leading lawyer in Latinvex's Mining category.

Fluent in Spanish and having practised law for over five years in Venezuela before moving to Canada, Tenaille holds a deep understanding of the legal system, culture and business practices of Latin America. With a strong background in M&A, capital markets and project finance, she advises Canadian and international clients on a broad range of Latin American matters, including cross-border transactions in the region's energy and mining sectors.

This marks the fourth year in which Latinvex has ranked Tenaille among the world's top lawyers focused on Latin America.

In 2017, Latinvex also named Tenaille one of Latin America's top 100 female lawyers, and Gowling WLG a top international firm in Latin America in two distinct categories: Latinvex Top Law Firms: Overall and Latinvex Top Law Firms: Mining.

Known as a key source of Latin American news and analysis, Latinvex provides extensive and unique coverage of Latin American business, countries and people, with a focus on the legal, technology and energy industries.

Gowling WLG's multidisciplinary legal team holds an in-depth understanding of the unique opportunities and challenges in Latin America.
