Partner Sheena Jacob has been ranked as a Leading Lawyer in AsiaLaw Leading Lawyers 2018/23rd edition for both Intellectual Property and IT, Telco & Media.
AsiaLaw Leading Lawyers is a leading publication that recognises outstanding private practice legal professionals in 18 practice areas in 24 jurisdictions in the Asia-Pacific region. This is the result of an extensive survey of senior corporate executives, in-house counsel and lawyers in private practice globally, who are able to nominate up to three lawyers they believe should be in the publication giving their reasons why.
Sheena is renowned as one of Singapore's leading IP and Technology lawyers with more than 25 years' experience in her field, which is heightened by this latest achievement. She works primarily with technology companies and innovative businesses at the Singapore-based JurisAsia, which Gowling WLG formed an exclusive association with last year.
She is a Singapore registered patent agent, as well as representing a variety of companies in the pharmaceutical field, and has a rare talent for complicated commercial IP transactions and negotiating deals that are difficult to close. Her ranking in both the IP and the IT, Telco & Media areas is a testament to her unique capabilities.
Following the announcement, Sheena said: "I feel honoured to have been ranked as a Leading Lawyer in this publication alongside many talented lawyers, and I am excited to see what opportunities this will bring."
This is yet another fantastic achievement for Gowling WLG's global IP team, who were recently identified as one of the world's leading patent firms by IAM Patent 1000. The firm's IP teams in the UK and Russia also recently earned top honours at the 2018 MIP EMEA Awards.
