15 June 2018

Gowling WLG has been commended for its exemplary work at an event celebrating the opportunities offered to young people leaving school and going directly into work rather than university. Gowling WLG was ranked 30 in the top 100, as decided by school leavers working within its team.

AllAboutSchoolLeavers.co.uk held The School Leavers Award ceremony at the Sheraton Grand on Park Lane, London on 6th June - hosted by comedian Josh Widdicombe - giving out prizes to employers based on the real-life experiences of apprentices and school leaver trainees.

The awards featured 100 UK organisations, with high-profile names from the professional services industry, the world of construction and engineering, supermarket giants, broadcasting and media companies, and city councils all given a good level of representation.

Young people working in the school leaver training world were asked to complete employee satisfaction surveys, covering every aspect of their working lives, from job satisfaction and career progression, to company culture and work-life balance.

Following the announcement, Early Talent Resourcing Manager Lucy Dolan said:

"We are delighted to have entered this year's ranking having expanded our apprenticeship programme last year. It demonstrates how much the Apprentices feel valued working here as well as the Firms commitment to widening access to the profession as part of our Early Talent Resourcing strategy."
