Gowling WLG credited with record number of global M&A deals in H1 2021

Building on strong Q1 results, Gowling WLG has been credited by Refinitiv with a record 130 global M&A deals in the first half of 2021 – for a #18 ranking among all law firms worldwide. Bloomberg also ranked the firm #18 for global transactions.[1]

Deal numbers for Canada and the UK helped propel the firm to this new high water mark. Refinitiv credited the firm with 81 Canada deals for a #2 ranking and 40 UK mid-market[2] deals for a #11 ranking. Bloomberg placed Gowling WLG even higher for mid-market UK M&A deals, ranking the firm #5.
