Gowling WLG's Canadian Trademark Group receives two accolades at the MIP Americas Awards 2021

08 April 2021

Managing Intellectual Property (MIP), one of the world's foremost IP publications, has named Gowling WLG the Canadian "Trademark Contentious Firm of the Year" at the MIP Americas Awards 2021.

For more than a century, clients have turned to Gowling WLG's Trademark Group for advice on safeguarding their IP assets against infringement. The firm's professionals have in-depth experience in all aspects of trademark enforcement to ensure that their clients' brands are sufficiently protected.

In addition to the firm's honours, Toronto partner Kelly Gill received the Canadian "Trademark Practitioner of the Year" award for his contributions to and accomplishments in IP law. Earlier this year, Gill was ranked as one of the top trademark enforcement and litigation practitioners in World Trademark Review 1000 2021.

Presented annually, the MIP Americas Awards distinguish the leading IP firms and practitioners across North and South America.

MIP's recognition of the firm follows a string of recent successes for Gowling WLG's global IP team. Last week, Gowling WLG was named "Prosecution Firm of the Year" in the UAE and "Design Firm of the Year" in the UK at the MIP EMEA Awards 2021.
