Gowling WLG was awarded "Trademark Firm of the Year" for Canada and "Foreign IP Firm of the Year" for China at the 2022 Global IP Awards – a testament to the firm's Intellectual Property (IP) strength in jurisdictions around the world.
The Global IP Awards recognize the outstanding achievements of law and attorney firms in the fields of litigation, prosecution and transactions. The awards are presented jointly by international publications Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) and World Trademark Review (WTR).
Martha Savoy, leader of the Canadian Trademarks Group and co-head of the global Trademarks, Brands and Designs Group, and Gordon Harris, Of Counsel and International IP Leadership, Gowling WLG UK, attended the Sept. 15 ceremony in London to accept the awards.
Gowling WLG's success at the Global IP Awards follows a string of other achievements the firm's global IP Group has received in several IAM and WTR guides. A total of 34 patent professionals were recognized in IAM Patent 1000 2022 and 31 trademark professionals included in WTR 1000 2022.
