Gowling WLG's Corporate Communications team has won Bronze in the 'Best internal publication: Digital' category at the Internal Communications and Engagement Awards 2024 ("ICE Awards").

Now in their sixth year, Communicate Magazine's ICE Awards celebrate the achievements of communications teams from a range of professional services and sectors, highlighting the impact internal communications has on a business, the role of the internal communicator within an organisation and the creative strategies developed to promote an engaged workforce.

The team claims the award for its digital magazine – 'De Facto'. The internal magazine was created to enable the firm to tell stories about its people, its work and the legal industry to help bring everyone in the firm closer together by inspiring conversation and showcasing the very best of Gowling WLG.

Head of Corporate Communications, Rebecca Scully, said: "We're incredibly proud to have been recognised by Communications Magazine for our internal digital publication – De Facto.

"De Facto is a celebration of our people and communities, who sit at the very heart of everything we do. Each issue has a theme relating to our vision, values and strategic priorities as a business, including the power of teamwork and going for growth.

"This award is for everyone across the firm, as well as our for our Corporate Communications team, who work hard to engage our people and communities, foster passionate brand ambassadors, and drive inclusivity and involvement across the business."

This latest award follows success at Communicate Magazine's ICE Awards 2023 and Corporate Engagement Awards 2023, where the Corporate Communications team was recognised for its efforts to drive stakeholder engagement in Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games activity among the firm's people, as part of Gowling WLG's role as the Official Legal Advisers to and sponsors of B2022.
