Securities lawyer Peter Simeon joins Gowlings

Gowlings is pleased to announce that Peter Simeon, an experienced securities and corporate commercial lawyer, has joined its Toronto office as a partner and member of its firm-wide >Corporate Finance and M&A Group.

Simeon serves as a trusted adviser to issuers, underwriters and other corporate clients on a wide range of matters related to corporate finance, M&A and structured products, including IPOs, private placements, RTOs, bought deal financings, secondary offerings and asset and share purchase transactions. His work has spanned a variety of key industries, such as mining, energy and technology. Prior to joining Gowlings, Simeon was a partner at a Toronto-based corporate finance law firm.

In addition to his work in private practice, Simeon is also an experienced in-house lawyer. He spent several years as corporate counsel at a publicly traded, multinational technology company, and completed a secondment at the Ontario Securities Commission in its Market Regulation Group.
