International law firm Gowling WLG has opened a second office in Germany. While the existing office in Munich is home to a strong IP/IT practice with commercial contract expertise, the Stuttgart office will focus on corporate law/M&A, capital markets law, and commercial law. Both offices will work together to service domestic and global clients.
Gowling WLG partner Dr Andreas Woelfle, who joined the firm a year ago, will be supported by Dr Petra Beyer, who specialises in corporate and capital markets law and joined Gowling WLG two months ago as a counsel. The practice will be further expanded with the arrival of a principal associate.
"With the opening of the new office, we are able to meet the increasing demand for our legal advice in the German market. A strong local team enables us to optimise the service for our clients ", says Quentin Poole, Head of International Projects at Gowling WLG.
"Stuttgart and the Baden-Wurttemberg region are home to some of our most outstanding clients in our key sectors such as automotive, technology and advanced manufacturing", said Andreas Woelfle. "They already draw upon our expertise in corporate law and M&A transactions. With colleagues on the ground, we can provide even better services for our clients because of more efficient information-sharing and decision-making."
With more than twenty years of experience in handling complex transactions, Andreas Woelfle is committed to expanding both German offices in both strength and depth, including real estate law and employment law.
