Gowling WLG welcomes Guangzhou office's new transactional principal associate, John Chung

Gowling WLG has appointed principal associate John Chung to the Guangzhou office to join the transactional team. He will also fill the role of Representative Officer once approved by the relevant Chinese authorities. John joined the firm on 19 June 2017 from ZTE Corporation in Shenzhen, where he was employed as associate legal counsel. 

John has more than 10 years' experience gained within private practice and in-house. He is qualified in the US and admitted to the New York State Bar and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and French. John studied extensively in Canada and then worked in the US before moving to China in 2010.

John has a broad pattern of experience, including in the corporate, banking and finance, employment and M&A sectors.
