Announcing the promotions, Gowling WLG chief executive David Fennell, said: "We are delighted to welcome John, Zoe, Joe, Ragi and Matt into the partnership. Their promotions are thoroughly deserved.

"They have each made a significant contribution to the business already, demonstrating an outstanding commitment to our clients, and to the growth of their practices and the wider firm.

"The feedback was consistently excellent on each and every one of them - great team players who have developed our business both within the UK and around the world."
