COVID-19 update: Implementing social distancing measures in all Gowling WLG (Canada) LLP Canadian offices

17 March 2020

Gowling WLG is implementing social distancing measures in Canada – while continuing to support clients during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Social distancing in all of our Canadian offices

Effective March 17, 2020, all of Gowling WLG's Canadian offices are moving to remote working operations. This means that all of our legal professionals and business support staff will be working from home or other remote locations in order to ensure appropriate social distancing as recommended by Canadian public health authorities.

Our Canadian offices will remain open and staffed on a limited basis for essential client meetings and other related activities. Whenever possible, we will conduct external and internal meetings by phone or videoconference through secure programs such as Zoom and Skype.
These measures will help us ensure the health and safety of our clients and our people.

How we continue to help clients

All Gowling WLG clients can expect to receive the same high level of service throughout this challenging time. Our team remains fully available to address your needs, including those related to COVID-19.

As we advised last week, we have launched a COVID-19 resource centre and a global task force to help our clients manage their business during the pandemic. The hub contains critical information to guide you through various complex legal issues, as well as a list of key contacts who can provide advice on these issues.

Thank you for continuing to place your trust in Gowling WLG. We are dedicated to partnering with you to ensure your needs are met during this unprecedented challenge.

Please contact your relationship partner or any member of our COVID-19 task force should you require assistance at any time.
