Gowling WLG performs strongly in leading M&A and Private Equity league tables

Gowling WLG has once again performed strongly in the latest M&A and Private Equity legal advisory tables published by Bloomberg and Refinitiv.

The firm was ranked 13th among all law firms for UK M&A deals in 2020 by Bloomberg[1], after acting on 44 publishable deals, and 11th for UK mid-market M&A deals, with 40 transactions.

The activity contributed to Gowling WLG featuring in the top 20 of Bloomberg's global mid-market M&A deals league table - ranking 19th with 154 transactions.

Refinitiv ranked the firm 17th in the UK for mid-market deals involvement, and 14th for small-cap deals[2].

Additionally, Refinitiv data published by The Lawyer[3] has also revealed Gowling WLG was among the top 10 firms in 2020 for UK targeted private equity deals by value – acting on transactions totalling more than $6 billion.
