Karen Gibbs co-authors Ontario estate administration guidebook

Karen Gibbs, a Toronto-based law clerk, has co-authored a new guidebook designed to assist estates professionals with the complex legal requirements of estate administration in Ontario.

The Practical Guide to Ontario Estate Administration, 6th edition is a helpful resource for lawyers and law clerks that provides step-by-step guidance with respect to the "process of estate administration, including taxation issues, filing for certificates of appointment of an estate trustee, the passing of accounts and the payment of estate taxes."

An Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario (ILCO) Certified Expert, Karen has over 30 years of experience in estate litigation, estate accounting and estate administration. She played the lead role in managing the project that also includes David Lobl and Brian Cohen, co-heads of Gowling WLG's Private Client Services Group, as co-authors.
