Gowling WLG is pleased to announce Leigh-Ann Ing as its first Head of Wellness. This position is among the first of its kind for Canadian law firms, and underscores Gowling WLG's deep commitment to supporting the health and well-being of its people.
Leigh-Ann joins the firm with more than 20 years of experience in organizational wellness and productivity. She most recently served as director, global wellness and benefits strategy at OMERS. Prior to that, she held progressively senior wellness and benefits consulting roles, working with national and global employers in a variety of industries.
"Our people are our core asset – and investing in their well-being, support and development is vital to the success of our firm," said Steve McKersie, Chief Executive Officer at Gowling WLG Canada. "As we continue to build a more positive, inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive, we're excited to work with Leigh-Ann to foster a culture of well-being and integrate wellness into every aspect of our firm."
In her new role, Leigh-Ann will work closely with Gowling WLG's leadership team to develop and implement a comprehensive firm-wide strategy around well-being, health and work-life integration, designed to address the unique challenges and pressures faced by those in the legal industry. In doing so, she will help to advance the firm's culture of well-being, ensuring that all team members have the tools they need to feel their best and do their best work – and access to the right supports when they need help.
"I look forward to working with my new colleagues to create a holistic and integrated culture of well-being at Gowling WLG – one that supports and nurtures individuals, and advances their personal and professional growth in meaningful, tangible ways," said Leigh-Ann.
