Abbi Lavill

Abbi assists clients to manage their property portfolio, advising on disputes in an organised and efficient manner. She joined the team in March 2022, having spent the previous five years in the firm's Housing Development and Regeneration team becoming experienced in a wide range of house builder matters including site acquisitions, infrastructure, affordable housing and title due diligence.

Abbi advises on a wide range of contentious property issues, including landlord and tenant work and contract disputes, as well as some more specialised work on telecoms and mines and minerals. She particularly enjoys acting on developer and house builder disputes, giving her the chance to draw on the experience gained from acting for those same clients in her early career. This experience means Abbi is able to quickly grasp the commercial drivers behind her clients' instructions and put forward commercially sensitive and effective strategies for resolving disputes.

Abbi's clients include house builders, property developers, retailers, public sector organisations and investment funds.

Experience

  • Successfully acting on behalf of Bloor Homes in the High Court in respect of an application for an injunction against protesters.
