Adriana I. Cargnello

Adriana Cargnello is a partner in Ottawa office of Gowling WLG, practising in the areas of advocacy, professional liability litigation with an emphasis on health law and medical defence, including acting as counsel for many years to the Canadian Medical Protective Association and physicians. She is fluently bilingual and can provide all legal services in both French and English, and is licenced to practice in Ontario and in Québec. Adriana also speaks Italian.

Adriana is invited regularly to lecture in both the Common Law and Civil Law sections of the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law. She is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, le Barreau du Québec, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the County of Carleton Law Association, l'Association des juristes d'expression française de l'Ontario, le Barreau de Montréal and the Women's Business Network of Ottawa.

In addition to her practice, Adriana has sat on the Board of Directors of different organisations, and is currently the Director of Governance with the Board of Directors of Dress for Success Ottawa, a local charity assisting disadvantaged women gain and maintain employment and achieve financial independence.
