Aleksandra Finelli

Aleksandra (Aleks) Finelli is a partner in Gowling WLG's Real Estate Group.

With 20 years of experience, Aleks' practice is primarily focused on commercial real estate, secured lending and project development encompassing a wide variety of commercial transactions, including real property acquisitions and dispositions, sale/leasebacks, land development, and financing transactions.

Her clients include private landowners, developers, lenders, borrowers, institutions and multinational organizations. Aleks also advises some of Canada's most prominent landlords and tenants on complex leasing matters involving office, retail and industrial properties, including with respect to mixed-use projects, and has significant experience assisting with large national and international merger and acquisition deals.

Complementing her commercial real estate practice, Aleks has extensive experience working on public-private partnerships, green energy projects (including wind and solar power farms), senior housing and the privatization of gaming facilities.

Aleks gets the deal done. She routinely assists clients with acquiring lands, financing and the developmental stages of various construction projects. She is recognized by clients and colleagues for her collaborative, practical and result-oriented approach to any legal matter or transaction. Her personal work ethic and broad experience ensures deal efficiency and, above all, client satisfaction.

Outside of her practice, Aleks is a member of the Toronto Commercial Real Estate Women (Toronto CREW) and is a mentor to a number of lawyers.

She is fluent in Polish.
