Alex Davidson

Alex Davidson is a London-based corporate principal associate who advises on a broad range of corporate matters, including standard and premium listings on the official list, public and private fund raising, establishment of investment funds, venture capital and private equity investments, takeovers, public company mergers and reconstructions. Alex also has experience in and has assisted with public company compliance and corporate governance.

  • Advised Rimkus Consulting Group Inc. on its major cross-border acquisition of CCi Global.
  • Advised Berenberg and Canaccord on Greatland Gold PLC's $16 million secondary fundraising.
  • Advised Pyx Resources Limited on its dual listing on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange.
  • Advised SP Angel on Spectral MD's IPO and £11.3 million fundraising.
  • Advised Memery Crystal on its sale to RBG Holdings plc for £30 million.
  • Advised Revolution Bar Group on numerous secondary fundraisings, in aggregate, raising approximately £36 million.
  • Advised Cenkos Securities plc and Berenberg as joint bookrunners on AIM-listed company XLMedia plc's oversubscribed £24 million placing and subscription as well as its open offer to raise up to an additional £3 million from qualifying shareholders.
  • Advised Reorg, a global provider of financial and legal intelligence, on its acquisition of Aggredium Finance Limited, a specialist in European sub-investment grade credit bond and loan data.
  • Advised Britannia Bud, a wellness company focusing on the UK and European cannabis markets, on its strategic partnership with a UK laboratory.
  • Advised CSX listed PlantX Life Inc. on its £8 million acquisition of Bloomboxclub Limited.
  • Advised Cenkos Securities on a placing and open offer to raise up to £4.5 million.
  • Advised Hummingbird Resources plc on its acquisition of a million-ounce gold project in Guinea.
  • Advised AIM-quoted Bushveld Minerals Limited on its conditional acquisition of vanadium and ferrovanadium production assets in South Africa for $68 million.
  • Acted for Shore Capital (as nominated adviser & broker) on the £10 million placing for AIM-quoted, SysGroup plc, a managed IT service and cloud hosting provider, and its £9 million acquisition of Certus IT Limited.
  • Advised a company on a reverse takeover of a pharmaceutical company, an associated placing of approximately £2 million and the readmission of the company's shares to the standard segment of the Official List and to trading on the London Stock Exchange.
  • Acted for numerous Venture Capital Trusts (VCTs) on their equity fundraisings, raising between £10 million and £50 million.
  • Advised a UK company on the £12 million recommended public takeover by a telecommunications service provider.
  • Assisted on a listing of a company on the standard segment of the Official List and to trading on the London Stock Exchange and associated placing of approximately £1 million.
  • Advised on the merger of two premium listed VCTs to create a VCT with a total net assets of approximately £73 million by means of a scheme of reconstruction.
