Amber Bonnell

Amber is an associate lawyer in the Advocacy Group of Gowling WLG's Waterloo Region office. Her focus is on Commercial Litigation.

Amber is a proud member of the third graduating class of the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University. She represented her colleagues as valedictorian for the class of 2018. During her time in law school, Amber was the president of Tabletalkers, Lakehead University's student-run version of Toastmasters, as well as the vice president of fundraising for the Law Students' Society.

In her third year of law school, Amber worked at Lakehead University Community Legal Services, a legal clinic, on a pro bono basis. She appeared before the Landlord and Tenant Board and in Provincial Offences Court, obtaining successful results for her clients.

Prior to joining the team at Gowling WLG, Amber completed her integrated practice placement at a boutique law firm in downtown Toronto, assisting primarily on class action and family law files.

Outside of the office, Amber enjoys treetop trekking and is an avid reader.
