Anika Winn

Anika Winn is an associate in Gowling WLG’s Calgary office. She also completed her articling and summering terms at Gowling WLG, as well as a clerkship with the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench.

Anika obtained her JD at the University of Ottawa, graduating cum laude with a specialization in health law. Throughout law school, Anika served as a teaching assistant for first-year tort law classes, and interned under the general counsel of the Ottawa Hospital. She won the 2019 CBA health law essay competition. In her final year of law school, Anika competed in the International Criminal Court Moot Competition, where her team won the America’s regional round and placed third overall in the International round. 

Prior to attending law school, Anika obtained a bachelor of health sciences degree from the University of Calgary and was heavily involved in maternal and child health research. She has published several papers on prenatal, refugee and immigrant health care, and conducted research in rural Tanzania focused on health education in primary schools.
