Arunima Kumar is a summer student in Gowling WLG's Toronto office.
Arunima is completing her LL.M. at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University.
Arunima is an India-qualified lawyer with a master’s degree in Criminal Advocacy. She has significant experience in the field of Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (ABAC) laws, as well as in the general labour and employment regulatory landscape. Arunima is well-versed in international ABAC laws, including those addressing bribery, money laundering and related offenses. She has provided legal counsel to clients across various industries and jurisdictions, including Fortune 500 companies, on matters related to employment law, such as structuring compensation and benefits for employees in multinational organizations, as well as advising on severance compensation arrangements.
Arunima has also leveraged her knowledge and experience to author several articles through reputable legal publications including The Legal 500, International Bar Association, and Chambers and Partners.
Arunima will focus her summer in the firm's Advocacy Department with a focus on white-collar crime and labour & employment law.
