Catrina Thompson is an associate in Gowling WLG's Calgary office. She maintains a commercial litigation practice, assisting businesses and individuals in navigating complex legal disputes.
She advises clients on contract disputes, regulatory issues, and corporate litigation, and has experience in Indigenous, civil, estate and family litigation. Catrina has represented a diverse range of clients, including shareholders, corporate directors, and financial institutions, in cases before the British Columbia Supreme Court, the British Columbia Court of Appeal, and the Federal Court.
Called to the Bar in British Columbia in 2023, Catrina earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Calgary, where she was also a member of the varsity women's rugby team. Before attending law school, she worked as a legal assistant at a national firm and obtained her bachelor's degree from Carleton University, where she also competed on the varsity women's rugby team.
