Charlie Bond

Charlie advises his clients on how to best protect, enforce and exploit their intellectual property (IP) rights.

Charlie has expertise in and works across the full range of intellectual property rights, from technology patent disputes to brand portfolio management. He enjoys working as part of his clients' teams to protect their IP rights, whether on smaller enforcement matters or in High Court litigation.

Charlie is also experienced working with a spectrum of different clients, from local small businesses to multinational corporations. He is great at understanding and adapting approaches to the needs of an individual client, appreciating their commercial drivers and reflecting them in legal advice and strategy.

Charlie is a member of The Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (CITMA), and has completed the University of Oxford Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice.

  • Advising a globally renowned sporting brand on the protection and enforcement of its trademark portfolio.
  • Acting for a global technology company in its high court litigation relating to standard essential patents in the telecommunications sector.
  • Dealing with the IP aspects of the purchase of Nabuh Energy by British Gas.
  • Co-ordinating and enforcing a client's global patent and trademark portfolio for its technology brands and products.
  • Advising a global accountancy organisation on its brand licence strategy and structure around the world.
