Charlotte Catton

Charlotte is an Associate in Gowling WLG's CITO team. Charlotte advises clients across a wide range of sectors including tech, retail and energy. Charlotte's recent work includes running large data centre projects, assisting with the drafting of agreements for the supply of new solvent technology, and advising on software and tech contracts.

Prior to joining the firm Charlotte studied French, Italian and European Studies at Bath University, achieving an upper second-class honours. Charlotte also completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Guildford.


  • Advising an UK insurance provider on the outsourcing of data centre services.
  • Assisting an international logistics company with the drafting of a framework to sell software they had developed.
  • Completing a range of reviews for a pension fund concerning their commercial contracts.
  • Assisting a UK retailer on the outsourcing of their IT estate. Charlotte assisted with the coordination of the RFP process and negotiation with multiple bidders.
  • Advising a UK energy company on the drafting and implementation of various business critical software contracts.
  • Charlotte has also completed two secondments in the automotive sector, at Williams Advanced Engineering and Gordon Murray Design.
