Charlotte Chambon

With a keen interest in trademark and patent law, Charlotte supports French and international clients with their needs across the full range of IP protections, including trademarks, patents, designs, models and copyright. She advises on both transactional and contentious aspects, including drafting and negotiating agreements, assisting with developing strategies to address disputes, and drafting and filing statements before the courts.

Working with clients across a number of industries, Charlotte has particular experience in the luxury retail, hotel and leisure, and technology sectors.

Charlotte joined Gowling WLG in June 2024, after three years of collaboration at Reed Smith LLP.


  • Representing a luxury company in a trademark infringement dispute before the French judicial court and obtaining a pan-European injunction.
  • Assisting a software provider in trademark disputes before the French courts and before the French (INPI) and European (EUIPO) intellectual property offices.
  • Obtaining the partial revocation of a trademark registered for "software" without limitation, considering that the adverse trademark was used only in a specific field, and that no likelihood of confusion could be established between the trademarks at hand regarding their respective businesses.
  • Advising a luxury kitchen manufacturer in a trademark dispute before the French judicial court.
  • Assisting a company providing telecommunication services in a patent litigation before the French judicial courts.
  • Assisting several companies in amicable resolution of their dispute and accompanying the execution of settlement.
