Daniel Yang

Daniel Yang is an associate in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office.

Daniel completed his JD at the University of Toronto.

While at law school, Daniel served as a caseworker at a specialty legal clinic. He represented clients in their workers’ compensation claims at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) and at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal (WSIAT). Daniel also competed in the Julius Alexander Isaac Moot, where he and his partner won Best Appellant Team and Best Factum.

Daniel also served as co-president of Out in Law, a community of and for LGBTQ students at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law.

Prior to law school, Daniel received his BA and MA from the University of Western Ontario. At Western, with an interest in philanthropy and advocacy, he was involved in the CAISA Fashion Show, Orientation and University Students’ Council.
